When they reach the end of the ramp, which is colored red, they must extend their knees, and then hold their balance. The aim is to get as far as the player can, for a higher score. They will have a counter for how fast they are going and how they balance on the Wii Balance Board. If the player extends their knees after they pass the red area, they will fall down the slope as a snowball, resulting in a 0 instead of anything higher. However, extending their knees in the red area will result in being able to successfully get off the ramp.

Then, players must hold their balance. The more balanced they are, the farther they will go. Using it without the Wii balance board is not intuitive, so by all means, get the board.

Turning is somewhat realistic, but anything but a short radius turn does not control speed when parallel skiing. Mogul skiing is also unrealistic. With all of the shortcomings, I still recommend it.

It is great for the novice skier to learn turn timing. Running into other skiers is also big fun. Lots fun when you can't ski for real. Realistic Wii game play and love that you can ride the chair with your friends. Wish there were more hills to ski on. Highly recommend. I had watched a video that reviewed We Ski. It looked like so much fun and you can use the Wii balance board too. They also have such cute little people that ski. I checked the game out for about 45 minutes today and there is just so much to do in this game.

I had a great time and I'll get it back out when the weather gets bad and play it some more. I've never even put a ski on before but did get the hang of it quite quickly. Can't wait to play it again.
