Installing floor electrical outlet

What we did was measure all of our furniture and then transfer the numbers to the subfloor. It worked great. Something you should also know,the outlet cover will be flush with the floor but when you remove the cover the outlet will be recessed which will allow the lamp plugs to be close to flush with the floor. I wouldnt install them on the floor becuse if you are like most people you will proboly ending up moving your furniture alot. Moving or re-arranging the furniture is not the issue, tripping over long electrical cords is!

Remove the wire nut from the joined black wires within the junction box, and add the new wire to the cluster before twisting a new wire nut onto the junction.

Repeat in kind with the white and bare wires. Tuck all of the wires into the junction box, and secure the cover by tightening the mounting screws. Go back into the room where the new outlet will be located, and tighten the wire clamp around the cable with a screwdriver.
